La Semana Cubana: Daily events celebrating Cuban culture at Las Positas College during the week of December 1 to 9, 2008. The week will feature traditional Cuban music, dance, art, poetry, food and the Afro-Carribean religion Santeria. On Saturday, the Bembé celebration, honoring the Santeria spirits, or "Orisha," will begin at 2p.m. and include Cuban food, dance and drums.
Kim Peek, the "Real Rain Man" returns to Las Positas College: Thursday, December 4, 7pm, Room 2420.
Las Positas Literary Anthology: Submission deadline is January 1, 2009.
